Meet Ellen Ball
Head Behaviourist & Instructor at Rockwood Dog Training

Ellen Ball has been immersed in the world of dog training since the age of eight, learning alongside her parents, Martin and Ellen Winfield. As a young member of the Rockwood Dog Display Team, Ellen demonstrated her skills at public events and was an integral part of the training centre long before officially taking over in 2010.

Over the years, Ellen has studied extensively, becoming a qualified dog behaviourist and licensed breeder. She holds a Higher Diploma in Canine Behaviour and Psychology—awarded with distinction—and is a proud member of the International Society of Animal Professionals.

Ellen is known for her compassionate and understanding approach. Her natural talent for improving handler skills allows clients to progress at their own pace, building confidence and trust along the way. In addition to her work with pet dogs, she has completed all modules in Security Dogs Action Counters Terrorism training, further expanding her knowledge and expertise in canine behaviour.
