We offer progressive 10-week training courses for both puppies and adult dogs. These classes advance through the following levels:
We introduce agility training at the intermediate stage, once basic obedience skills have been mastered. Our training is conducted indoors in a spacious, purpose-built, three-span polytunnel with an astro turf floor, providing a comfortable, all-weather training environment. In addition, we offer two private consultation rooms and a dedicated photo room for registering dogs involved in film and TV projects. During the summer, we also utilize our fully fenced one-acre outdoor training area.
Rockwood Dog Training was founded in 1982 by Martin and Ellen Winfield. In 1999, their daughter Ellen Ball joined the team. After gaining her qualifications, Ellen took over the training responsibilities from Martin.
In 2010, Martin and Ellen transitioned to focus on supplying animals for the TV and film industry, leaving Ellen Ball—now a highly qualified second-generation behaviourist with over 40 years of experience—at the helm.
